Workshops

 

The art aspects art society will be offering two workshops for all EU citizens in March 2011. The Workshops are open for any interested person between the ages of 18 and 65, and we warmly welcome all Europeans who would like to participate in our activities.
For prospective participants: the workshop registration forms will be available for application from August. Just below you will find an introduction to the different Workshop subjects. We hope to have many applicants from across Europe and invite all those who are interested in taking part to announce your interest now on our contact form.

The workshops will be held in english language.

Course fees including travel expenses, lodging, breakfast and lunch: approx. 1150€

A joy-full appreciation of our embodied existence lies at the centre of the workshop process. These bodily investigations become immediately translated into creative artworks as the performative exercises develop from the flow of playful and associative tasks. This creative Workshop directs its interest upon typography and the practice of writing. The use of typography and the tradition of the written word make up an essential element of our culture and our history as social, communicative beings. Literature also provides a means for the expression of our personality. Within this workshop we will return to the roots of this practice and consider its history and the role it has played, particularly within our society. These workshops were also submitted for consideration to the Grundtvig mobility program. A commissioning panel will decide on the possibility of funding in April 2010 and we will know in May 2010, which workshops will run. In successful cases, all costs would be covered to 100 % by the EU grant for all participants coming from a European country outside Germany.
