where and when
seminar
In a wider context Sounds of the Surround reflects the idea that collaboration and exchange must be at the heart of Europe’s progress towards greater harmony with nature and our collective histories. As stated by the classical Greek Philosopher Plato, it is diversity that allows us to survive indeed it is only through others that we can truly understand ourselves.
In both nature and the modern city, complex interactions create the rich, textured possibilities of life. However we must also balance and re-view our human relations and our relationship with nature. Exploring activities such as non-verbal communication, drawing and other creative processes will exercise your free will, allowing you to escape the fixed patterns of day-to-day thought.
New encounters provide the opportunity to redevelop and enable us to depart from our fixed histories and form ‘new European traditions’ of sustainability and cross-cultural exchange................
